For the Monte Real Air Base Day (BA5), CDRSP researchers scanned the base of the vertical wing (drag chute) of the F16 tail, managing to obtain the 3D geometry of the object. This initiative arises with the objective of showing the valences that these types of technologies can offer to the military sector, as well as the technological advances that would be possible to achieve with partnerships between institutions. The open day at Monte Real air base will take place on September 18, where a prototype of the F16 tail will be displayed, achieved through the mentioned digitization process.
No âmbito das comemorações do Dia da Base Aérea de Monte Real (BA5), os investigadores do CDRSP realizaram a digitalização da base da asa vertical (drag chute) de um F16, com o objetivo de adquirir a geometria 3D da peça e criar um protótipo. Esta iniciativa surge para demonstrar as valências que estes tipos de tecnologias podem oferecer ao setor militar, assim como os avanços tecnológicos que seriam possíveis atingir com parcerias entre instituições. O dia aberto da base aérea de Monte Real decorre no dia 18 de setembro e como resultado desta colaboração será exposto um protótipo maquinado da cauda do F16.
