The inauguration ceremony of the new director of CDRSP – Center for Rapid and Sustained Product Development, Professor Rui Ruben, took place on January 10, 2024, in the auditorium of the Central Services of #PolytécnicodeLeiria.
The opening of the session was in charge of Carlos Rabadão, president of the Polytechnic of Leiria, followed by the inauguration of Rui Ruben, who replaces Artur Mateus as director of the CDRSP. The ceremony also featured the appointment of the deputy directors of the investigation unit, Marcelo Gaspar and Juliana Dias.
Rui Ruben has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico (1999), obtained a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Lisbon (2003) and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, also from the Technical University of Lisbon, in January 2009 .
Integrated researcher at CDRSP since 2009, and Coordinating Professor at ESTG-Leiria, Rui Ruben is currently president of the Portuguese Society of Biomechanics.
RUI RUBEN TOMA POSSE COMO DIRETOR DO CDRSP
A cerimónia de tomada de posse do novo diretor do CDRSP – Centro para o Desenvolvimento Rápido e Sustentado de Produto, Professor Rui Ruben, teve lugar no passado dia 10 de janeiro de 2024, no auditório dos Serviços Centrais do #PolitécnicodeLeiria.
A abertura da sessão esteve a cargo de Carlos Rabadão, presidente do Politécnico de Leiria, seguindo-se a tomada de posse de Rui Ruben, que substitui Artur Mateus no cargo de diretor do CDRSP. A cerimónia contou ainda com a nomeação dos subdiretores da unidade de investigação, Marcelo Gaspar e Juliana Dias.
Rui Ruben é licenciado em Engenharia Mecânica pelo Instituto Superior Técnico (1999), obteve o grau de Mestre em Engenharia Mecânica pela Universidade Técnica de Lisboa (2003) e o de Doutor em Engenharia Mecânica, também pela Universidade Técnica de Lisboa, em janeiro de 2009.
Investigador integrado do CDRSP, desde 2009, e Professor Coordenador na ESTG-Leiria, Rui Ruben é atualmente presidente da Sociedade Portuguesa de Biomecânica.
