MATERIAIS 2022 – the XX Congress of the Portuguese Society of Materials (SPM), took place between April 10 and 13 of 2022 in Marinha Grande.
The event was organized at the top of the 4th Industrial Revolution, which anticipates real changes in the way we live, work and relate with each other.
The combination of physical, digital and biological sciences will bring considerable changes in the way products are designed and manufactured, including the materials they are made of: metal, ceramics, glass, polymers, biological components or composites.
The organization was the result of a partnership between the CDRSP – Centre for Rapid and Sustainable Product Development and the Portuguese Society of Materials and offered a high quality scientific program that promoted the debate of the latest technical and scientific developments in Materials Science and Engineering.
The speakers came from well known national and international universities.
