In the 24th of March CDRsp received the first year students of Mechanical Engineering from ESTG. They visited the CDRsp laboratories, especially the ones regarding mechanical processes and products where they had a closer contact with some of the techniques they studied. As 3DPrinting becomes more a direct production process then prototyping technique, students had the opportunity to contact with state of the art equipments and their products.

Professor Geoffrey Mitchell, Vice-director of the Centre for Rapid and Sustainable Product Development (CDRsp) of the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, was elected as a member of the Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine (IPEM) in the UK.
