Professor Geoffrey Mitchell elected IPEM member

Professor Geoffrey Mitchell, Vice-director of the Centre for Rapid and Sustainable Product Development (CDRsp) of the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, was elected as a member of the Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine (IPEM) in the UK. IPEM is the professional organisation for physicists, clinical and biomedical engineers and technologists working in medicine and biology .

This week CDRSP welcomed Aigul  Iskakova from the Institute of Combustion Problems of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Almaty, Kazakhstan. She will spend two weeks on an internship working with Professor Geoffrey Mitchell gaining experience in producing nanoscale fibres using electrospinning techniques.
