The second edition of the international Workshop of Direct Digital Manufacturing for Medicine (DDM4MED) will take place at CDRSP-IPLeiria, Marinha Grande on the 18^th of May 2016.
The goal of this workshop is to fill the gap between engineering and medicine regarding direct digital manufacturing, also known as 3D printing. This field covers a set of technologies which allows us to produce complex or simple objects with a specific design. It enables personalisation and customisation, and as such it is particular suited to medical and health care treatment applications where treatment or help is focused on a particular individual.
 
We know that there is a lot to discuss and we welcome your contributions by posters or flash talks in the three forums available:
 
1) DDM applications in Surgery;
 
2) DDM applications in Medicine/Imaging;
 
3) DDM applications in Health Sciences.
 
Don’t worry if your idea does not match one of these forums. You will still be very welcome.
