These shapes are produced by inserting the powder material into the mold. The mold is then placed in an oven at 240ºC for 45 minutes, during this time it rotates about its own axis and around the axis of the horizontal plane to ensure uniformity of the final pieces. Several compositions were produced- 100%MDPE to 50% MDPE + 50% RP- with the aim of assessing the limit amount of tire that can be incorporated to de MDPE without loosing too much of it's mechanical properties.
