MOLDETIPO GROUP
Moldetipo Group was founded in 1996 and it has more than 80 employees. The group present a complete solution to customers, controlling the crucial links in the value chain of the mold design and manufacturing sector and investing in interventions ranging from product design and engineering, mold manufacturing, testing, small production and technical assistance.
Moldetipo Group activity focuses essentially on the design, engineering, manufacturing and testing of molds, as well as on their maintenance, alteration and rectification. The group has the capacity to produce molds up to 18 tons and of various types, such as 2K and 3K injection, gas assisted injection and blow molding. The most differentiating types of molds that Moldetipo Group offers are for water-assisted injection technology and for Heat & Cool Technology (Roctool).
The Moldetipo Group has been over the years investing in training, innovation, research and development, with the aim of ensuring the company’s sustainability and moving up the demand chain, facilitating the approach to new markets, boosting new areas of technological development and implementing methods of innovative production through the exploration of new engineering technologies.

PME Fluidtech
PME fluidtec was originally an engineering partner for automation solutions.
Founded by Friedrich Westphal in 2001, today it is an experienced specialist in the field of complex precision systems and engineering services for fluid injection technology (water injection technology [WIT] / gas injection technology [GIT]), aerosol, CO2 injection and cooling technology, with optimised functionality and user friendliness.
The core business is the development, process support and manufacture of components and systems for fluid-supporting injection moulding using internal pressure technology on a water and gas basis. Moreover, in addition to systems for combined solutions – CIT (combined injection technology), where both GIT and WIT processes run simultaneously in a tool – we also offer systems for projectile injection technology (PIT). In combination with WIT, this is conducive to optimal hollow space formation with thin wall thicknesses.
We deliver hardware components such as process units and injectors, thus offering our customers technical application services right up to the turnkey product.
In addition to the continuous high standard of quality, the environmental protection practised here always plays a central role.

AGI | Augusto Guimarães & Irmão, Lda
105 YEARS OF INNOVATION
Since the first half of the 20th century, AGI has been a pioneer in what later became a new industrial sector, importing the first thermoplastic injection machines into Portugal. Forerunner in both electrical cable and telecommunications industries in the 1970s. In 1990, AGI begins distributing Lexan polycarbonate sheets, a relationship that has been going on for almost 30 years, and which is the origin of the construction material department. In 1995, it becomes the first service company in Portugal to obtain an ISO9001 certification. Sells the first injection machine with artificial intelligence, thanks to the two decades of experience in this sector. First polymer distribution company in Portugal to sell 3D printing equipment and filaments. Productivity and process stability are quickly identified as critical, leading to the incorporation of peripheral equipment, such as cooling units and temperature controllers in the mid-1960s. Identifying itself with a strong vocation for technical plastics, in the 80s, AGI is appointed as exclusive distributor for General Electric Plastics, a relationship that is currently maintained with SABIC. In the early 1990s, AGI is one of the first companies in its sector to design and install centralized production systems and subsequently to add robotics solutions to its offering. In 2002, AGI expands its activity with an Iberian vision after its alliance with the Guzman Global group. Performing the first MES installation (Manufacturing Execution System), the company anticipates itself to the industry 4.0 era.
Aware of the economic and environmental importance, AGI has been promoting the incorporation of recycling systems since the 1970s, becoming in 2019 the first polymer distribution company in Portugal to obtain ISCC PLUS certification.
AGI – Augusto Guimarães & Irmão, Lda becomes part of the Hromatka Group, one of the main distribution groups in the polymer market and highly qualified local specialists. HRV
HRV was born in 1982 and is currently part of the HRV GROUP, formed by the parent company HRV – Equipamentos de Processo, SA and also by the subsidiaries HRV Trabalhos Elétricos, SA and VERISTEEL, SA, which are dedicated to the production of structures and software for machines inserted in the production lines.
HRV assumes the commercial component, the design of projects and the coordination of maintenance and R&D services, these in partnership with Portuguese universities and polytechnic institutes. Our industrial activity includes the installation of pellet production lines, lines for the production of pet food and lines for the production of pet food.
In the chemical sector we have solutions for the production of mortars, expanded clay, granulated plastic, residues, salt, sugar, coffee, cereals in general and all solid products that can be stored, transported, handled and bagged.

AGIX | Innovative Engineering is a company specialized in the development and production of automation and industrial robotics solutions. It integrates an experienced and qualified team in the areas of design and industrial engineering, which allows to develop, produce and install equipment and control systems capable of responding to constant challenges and the need for innovation in the context of industrial production. The company operates in several areas, industrial monitoring, automation and robotics, artificial vision and product development.
LCR – LUZ COSTA & RODRIGUES, LDA
LCR- Luz Costa & Rodrigues Lda is a family company which was founded on 15 January 1965. From that time to the present day we have had a strong presence in the different markets where we operate.
The company started out as a sawmill, but market evolution led to the partners choosing to leave this field in 1993 to work exclusively in the manufacture of profiles, and seals for aluminium and wooden window frames. In 1994, LCR diversified its range of products, moving on to the production of tubes for the automobile industry and for health applications. In 1996, to accompany the growth in the construction sector, we also started to produce rigid profiles for this industry.
With the aim of ensuring full satisfaction for clients through the quality of our products and services, we implemented our Quality Management System in 1999. Certification was obtained in accordance with the NP EN ISO 9002:1995 standard in 2000. We also established partnerships with a number of recognized brand names on the international market, and became the representative in Portugal for the products produced by the company FORTE. We started selling products such as shower screens, folding doors, PVC interior and exterior coverings and floating floors.
More recently, we decided to move downstream in the value chain by acquiring a new manufacturing unit and started producing thermoplastic materials by creating a new brand, COBLEX. In 2017, we established partnerships with universities and polytechnics with the goal of innovating and creating value. We have a clear focus on research into new solutions and products which will meet client needs.
GLN
GLN is a group of companies with its headquarters at Maceira, Portugal. The group counts with 5 companies (GLN molds; Famolde; GLN plast; GLN Mexico & GLN innov) that together are able to supply a complete set of integrated solutions or a specific service or product.
GLN molds located in Maceira and Famolde situated in Marinha Grande, are companies specialized in the design, manufacture, and validation of high-quality technical molds for demanding industries such as: automotive, electronics, medical and packaging. Both are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and specialized teams with the know-how to supply the most challenging customers.
GLN plast is a company focused on the injection of highly technical, tight tolerances polymers parts; with systems assembly through high automated processes and development of new concepts and technologies for its customers. The operations are divided in two sites one in Maceira for the automotive industry and the other in Marinha Grande for the food & beverage packaging industry.
GLN mexico supports the customers locally and provide services for the tools but also serial productions. We are in condition to develop complex projects with integration of molds, injection and automated cells with assembly and end of line tests. The teams from Portugal and Mexico are working closely in order to discuss the best way to solve the challenges that comes through.
GLN innov is a company that is composed by an engineering team that assists all the other GLN enterprises looking for the new methods and new ideas to develop new products and processes. AMcubed Lda
AMcubed, Lda is a young technology-based company. It was created in April 2012 by two young, experienced entrepreneurs with backgrounds in mechanical and electrical engineering. AMCubed (Advanced Manufacturing Cubed), has as main goal the development of advanced manufacturing systems. It has so far developed several additive manufacturing systems (known to all as 3D printing), subtractive manufacturing systems, and hybrid systems, taking advantage of the benefits of each.
The founders, from Mechanical Engineering and Electrotechnical Engineering, show extensive industrial experience in the fields of design, simulation, production, and assembly of computer-controlled systems. The company has strong links to National and International research centers, namely the Center for Rapid and Sustained Product Development of the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria, this allows a continuous technological prospection and updating. Dreamplas Lda
Dreamplas, Lda is an Engineering and Industrial Production of Plastic Parts company founded in March of 2020. The founders decided joined our know-how to building an innovation and technology company based on the latest technology.
The main area is the production of plastic parts for different markets (Houseware, Packaging, Medical and Pharmaceutics).
Dreamplas, Lda currently has a Clean Booth ISO 5, 5 Injection Machines until 300Ton, one of them is 100% electrical and another one 2K injection. Each machine is equipped with Robot Wittmann and the other peripheric.
Karnatak University
